Miriam is a lawyer, Harvard-trained mediator and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. She is an active member of several MSB committees and leads our Member Engagement and Complaints Committee, along with her executive role as MSB Secretary.

Miriam brings first-hand practical experience from her work as a mediator in private, public and community-based settings. Her international experience includes training and practising in District Courts in the USA.  

She has a strong interest in the integration of mediation into the Australian legal system and the improvement of the professional standards framework that guides this process.  

Miriam is a panel mediator for various community and public sector institutions, including Legal Aid NSW, Community Justice Centre NSW, and the Law Society of NSW. 

She is also an experienced law lecturer and has taught and contributed to training programs on law and dispute resolution at several leading academic institutions including the University of NSW, Western Sydney University, and the College of Law.
