NMAS Review

The Mediator Standards Board is pleased to release the Australian Mediation Dispute Resolution Accreditation Standards (“AMDRAS”)

The Mediator Standards Board embarked on a review of the Standards in 2020 in consultation with our members and training organisations and the many members of the dispute resolution community.

Version 1 of AMDRAS was released on 30 August 2023. The Board then spent 4 months in consultation with members, trainers, mediators, and key stakeholders alike.

All feedback and responses were carefully reviewed and considered. Whilst it was not possible to incorporate suggestions that were at variance, a number of common themes emerged, resulting in a considerable number of amendments.

Along with the Standards we have also released today the Guidelines and re-released the NMAS Transitional Rules.
